ORGANIZATION

Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. is a Michigan nonprofit corporation governed by a corporate Board of Directors and an LSC Policy Board that oversees operations funded by the federal Legal Services Corporation. As a provider of legal services, however, we function much like a large private law firm, with an Executive Management Group responsible for overall operations, supported by an Administrative Service Group.

Executive Management Group
The Executive Management Group consists of our executive director, Deierdre L. Weir and the chief counsels of our four legal practice groups:
