2007-04-26 LEGAL AID AND DEFENDER TO HONOR PROFESSIONAL
MOMS AT LUNCHEON AT DETROIT YACHT CLUB MAY 6
DETROIT – In anticipation of Mother’s
Day May 13, Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. will host its
annual Mother’s Day luncheon May 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the
Detroit Yacht Club.
The luncheon will have the theme "The Mixing Bowl" and
feature a panel discussion by prominent Detroit-area professional
women on how women can succeed as both mothers and full-time professionals.
Panel members will be Detroit Free Press columnist and attorney
Desiree Cooper; dermatologist Shauna Ryder Diggs, MD; developer
Stacy Fox of the Roxbury Group; U.S. District Court Judge Denise
Page Hood; attorney Nicole Lamb-Hale of Foley & Lardner LLP;
attorney Miriam Siefer, chief counsel of Legal Aid and Defender’s
Federal Defender Office; forensic psychologist Patricia Wallace,
Ph.D.; and attorney Rhonda Welburn of Dickinson Wright PLLC.
Legal Aid and Defender will also present its Mother of the Year
Award at the luncheon, which will be emceed by Fanchon Stinger,
co-anchor of WJBK FOX 2 News Mornings and a member of the FOX 2
Problem Solvers Unit.
