2006-10-27 LEGAL AID AND DEFENDER TO HONOR PRO
BONO ATTORNEYS AT AWARDS CEREMONY OCT. 30
DETROIT Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. will hold
its Pro Bono Recognition Awards Ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday,
Oct. 30 at the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evergreen Road,
Southfield.
The annual affair honors private attorneys, law firms and corporation
legal departments that provide outstanding pro bono service to clients
of Legal Aid and Defender during the past year through its Private
Attorney Involvement program.
The event will begin with a reception at 5 p.m., followed by the
awards ceremony at 6. Master of ceremonies will be Alan Lee, a morning
news anchor for WJBK-TV FOX 2. Legal Aid and Defender is a FOX 2
community service partner.

Legal Aid and Defender is Michigans largest provider of free
civil legal services to low-income residents. It serves metropolitan
Detroit through its offices in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.

consultations and comprehensive legal services, the public law firm
