Legal Aid and Defender Association represents low- and moderate-income people accused of criminal offenses in Wayne County Circuit Court and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. If you are arrested for a crime under state or federal law and cannot afford an attorney, the court will provide one, either from its own pool of private attorneys or from our office. If you think you have been charged with a felony and do not have an attorney, call the court immediately to determine your status.
